Charlamagne Tha God Says That Lil Waynes’ New Album Isn’t That Great

Charlamagne Tha God, real name Lenard Larry McKelvey, is an American radio and television personality. He appears on ‘The Breakfast Club’, a nationally syndicated radio show, and can be seen in tv shows such as ‘Guy Court, ‘Girl Code’ Guy Code’, and ‘The Week in Jams’. Charlamagne first gained national exposure on ‘The Wendy Williams Experience’.

He recently talked about ‘Tha Carter V’, Lil Waynes’ latest album release. This album took 10 years to make and has been highly anticipated by his fans. Charlamagne Tha God got an early listen of this album and he says that he came away pretty unimpressed by it. On one episode of ‘The Breakfast Club’, he mocked the album and Lil Wayne and had a bit of a rant about it. He especially didn’t like ‘Let it Fly’ which featured Travis Scott.

Upon further listening of this album, Charlamagne That God went on to say on a later episode that it isn’t quite as bad as his first impressions were of it. He listened to it a few times over the course of a weekend and decided it’s a decent album but nowhere near spectacular. He has heard a bunch of people saying it’s an Album of the Year candidate which he thinks is crazy-talk. He says that either way this album won’t affect Lil Wayne’s reputation as he already established that a decade ago. See This Page for additional information.

Charlamagne Tha God has also gotten into directing and acting in movies. Some of the recent movies he has been involved with include ‘On the Run Eating’, ‘While I Breathe, I Hope’, and “Grow House”. He also recently became a published author and has two books out published by Touchstone, a division of Simon & Schuster. The first of these books, published in 2017, is, ‘Black Privilege: Opportunities Come to Those Who Create It’. This is a self-help guidebook. The second book is, ‘Shook One: Anxiety Playing Tricks on Me”. In this book, he talks about how he has experienced anxiety for many years and how getting into therapy has had a very positive impact on his life.
