In an interview with IdeaMensch in mid last year, Glen Wakeman revealed that the idea to establish Launchpad Holdings was triggered by the alarming failure rates of new businesses. According to Glen, most of these new businesses were failing for lack of a plan to implement an idea. Therefore, Glen came up with a simple software platform that would make the plan building process easy.
Like any other CEO, Glen’s day begins with a review of the previous day’s performance before agreeing with his partner on the day’s business. During the day, Glen also spares some time to carry out some research regarding the market trends to keep ahead of the game while attending to customer’s inquiries.
The successful entrepreneur told IdeaMensch that bringing ideas to life entails explaining them to others while defending them. The process acts as a motivation to pursue the idea if it happens to be a good idea. Glen revealed that he is over-excited by the ability to use machine learning to generate insights that are crucial when it comes to decision making.
During the interview, Glen outlined that it’s his curiosity that has seen him become a successful entrepreneur. His interest forces him to pursue new ideas and as a result of advancement in his portfolio. While in College, the successful CEO used to work as a bathroom cleaner during a summer.
